Savory French Lentils

Ingredients
  • 2 cups french lentils
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 celery sticks, chopped
  • 3 medium carrots, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 fresh bay leaves
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 3 cups organic vegetable stock
  • 3 cups water
  • 2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
  1. Rinse and sort lentils.
  2. Saute garlic, celery, carrots, onion, bay leaves and spices in olive oil on medium-low heat until onions are translucent.
  3. Add lentils, stock and water and bring to a boil.
  4. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes until lentils are soft.
